Warning Signs and Potential Problems During the Second and Third Trimesters
Call your provider if you notice any of the following:
- Bleeding that causes a stain larger than a quarter
- More than four contractions an hour when you are less then 36 weeks
- Leaking fluid or water from the vagina
- Falling or hitting your abdomen or having someone hit your abdomen
- Absent or decreased fetal activity
- Obvious swelling of the hands or face
- Severe headache not relieved with over-the-counter pain medications
- Blurred or double vision or seeing white lights like shooting stars
- Pain or burning when you urinate
