What You Can Do To Maintain Healthy Breasts

Certain things can be done to help maintain healthy breasts.

Lifestyle And Diet

  • Maintain a body weight that is appropriate for your height and age.
  • Exercise regularly, preferably more than 30 minutes per day. Also find ways to be physically active throughout the day.
  • Limit your alcohol intake to no more than one drink a day.
  • Avoid smoking cigarettes. Consider a smoking cessation program if you currently smoke.

Pregnancy And Breastfeeding

The effects of breastfeeding on the breast are short-lived. Usually the body adjusts to regular milk production and the feeding pattern of the baby and returns to normal once breastfeeding is well established.
